Dadhimati Mata Temple of the goddess Dadhimati is located in Nagaur district, Rajasthan, India. It is situated in Goth-Manglod Village of Jayal Tehsil. It is one of the oldest surviving temples in northern India. It was built in the 4th century and is of the Gupta era. Dadhimathi Mata Temple is a historical palace of Rajasthan. Dadhimati killed Detya Vikatasur on magh shukl 8 (jaya ashtami) in Dadhi Sagar. Dadhimati is the Avatar Of Goddess Laxmi. The temple has the oldest depictions of 'Devi mahamatya', which are even older than Mahalaxmi temple of Kolhapur, Maharastra.Archelogical Survey of India dates it to 4th Century AD, It was visited none other than Mr. D R Bhandarkar, Indian Archaeologist. It has a depiction of Valimiki ramyana in interiors.There are inscription in Sanskrit has been excavated by ASI. Parashar Brahmins are the priest in this temple. Dadhimati is Kul Devi and Kul Mata of Dadhich Brahmins as well as Dantuslia the Jat gotra and Gelda the Baniya gotra and also Jakhotiya (Holani's) of Maheshwari Baniya . Also Dadhimati Mata is Kuldevi of Dahima Rajputs & Pundir Rajputs since ages.
